Day 4 - Tappan Falls, Middle Fork of the Salmon Self Support

Boys wanted to wake up early to hike up for another lap on Loon with Uncle Scotty, Jules, and Dad. We routed the section that we paddled yesterday, packed up camp, and were on the river by 10am (we had a 28 mile day ahead of us). Bodie had a slow start because he bonked pretty hard. We gave him some electrolytes and food and he bounced back by the time we got to Tappan Falls. We got out to scout and the boys picked their lines. Kelly and Daniel decided to run the big hole in the middle. Kelly had a big surf with some cartwheels, but didn't swim! We then paddled down to Flying B Ranch where we had ice cream and beer. Then a quick 12 miles to our camp, just below Big Creek. After having dinner at camp, we hiked up to check out the falls and do some fishing on Big Creek. Had a nice s'more session by the fire for the last night on the river.
